RESOLVED: (Smith/Stavrinos) that the apologies received from Crs Andrews, Garcia and Nash be accepted and leave of absences from the meeting be granted.

Confirmation of the Minutes of the Works Committee Meeting held on Tuesday 13 June 2017

RESOLUTION: (Smith/Stavrinos) that the Minutes of the Works Committee Meeting held on Tuesday 13 June 2017 (copies of which were circulated to all Councillors) be and are hereby confirmed as a correct record of the proceedings of that meeting.

W16/17    Works Report - Development of a Busking and Street Performance Policy (F2004/07096)

WO23/17

RESOLUTION: (Shurey/Stavrinos) that:

 

a)   Research and community consultations occur for the development of a policy position for Busking and Street Performance.

 

b)   A further report on a policy position be presented to Council in accordance with the consultation outcomes.

 

c)   Council applications for busking or street performances not be approved until a policy position has been adopted.

 

MOTION: (Shurey/Stavrinos) CARRIED - SEE RESOLUTION.

 

 

W17/17    Works Report - Judge Lane, Randwick - Request for a part-time closure (F2004/07158)

WO24/17

RESOLUTION: (Matson/Shurey) that:

 

a)   Community consultation be undertaken to assess the community’s view regarding the possible part-time restriction on traffic in Judge Lane, as detailed in this report; and

 

b)   A report on this matter be brought back to the August Council meeting following the community consultation processes including current traffic speed data.

 

MOTION: (Roberts/Stavrinos) that:

 

a)   Community consultation be undertaken to assess the community’s view regarding the possible part-time restriction on traffic in Judge Lane, as detailed in this report; and

 

b)   A report on this matter be brought back to the Council following the community consultation processes including current traffic speed data.

 

AMENDMENT: (Matson/Shurey) CARRIED  AND BECAME THE MOTION.
