Note: A rescission motion was submitted on this matter in accordance with Council’s Code of Meeting Practice and will be considered at the Ordinary Council Meeting to be held on 28 February 2012.

 

RESOLUTION: (Andrews/Bowen) that:

 

a)              the installation of a bus shelter in front of 174 Carrington Road, Randwick not proceed.

 

b)              Council consider the installation of a bus shelter at Marine Parade, Maroubra near 90-92 Marine Parade, pending community consultation outcomes. 

 

c)              all the residents/property owners in the consultation catchment be notified accordingly.

 

AMENDMENT: (Stevenson/Matson) that Council consider the installation of a bus shelter outside 95 Mons Avenue, Maroubra, pending community consultation outcomes. RULED OUT OF ORDER BY THE CHAIRPERSON.

 

AMENDMENT (Tracey/Procopiadis) that prior to any decision being made in relation to the installation of a bus shelter on the corner of Alison Road and Carrington Road, Randwick (in front of 174 Carrington Road) users of this bus stop be surveyed for their opinions. LOST.

 

MOTION: (Andrews/Bowen) CARRIED - SEE RESOLUTION.

 

 

 

W2/12       Works Report - Roads and Maritime Services (RMS) Delegation to Council and the Operation of the Randwick Traffic Committee (F2004/08309)

WO3/12

RESOLUTION: (Andrews/Woodsmith) that:

 

a)     the “Delegation to Council’s - Regulation of Traffic” as issued by Roads and Maritime Services be accepted; and

 

b)     the process by which Traffic Committee recommendations are formally approved be again endorsed.

 

MOTION: (Andrews/Woodsmith) CARRIED - SEE RESOLUTION.
